Dynamic lines, such as smile lines (nasolabial folds) and crow’s feet, are natural signs of aging that can detract from a youthful appearance. At Sedgh Facial Plastic Surgery, we understand the desire for smooth, rejuvenated skin, which is why we offer advanced treatments to address dynamic lines and restore a more youthful, vibrant appearance.
Understanding Nasolabial Folds and Crow’s Feet
Smile lines, also known as nasolabial folds, are the lines that extend from the sides of the nose to the corners of the mouth. These lines become more pronounced over time due to repeated facial expressions, sun exposure and a loss of collagen and elastin in the skin. Crow’s feet, on the other hand, are the fine lines and wrinkles that appear around the eyes, typically as a result of squinting, smiling and other facial movements, another type of smile lines. Both types of dynamic lines can become etched in the skin as you become older due to reduced skin elasticity.Cosmetic Treatments for Dynamic Lines
Fortunately, there are several effective cosmetic treatments available to address smile lines and crow’s feet and achieve smoother, more youthful-looking skin.- Dermal Fillers: Dermal fillers, such as hyaluronic acid-based fillers like JuvĂ©derm, are commonly used to plump and smooth smile lines. By injecting filler into the nasolabial folds, we can restore lost volume and reduce the appearance of deep lines, resulting in a more youthful and refreshed appearance. Other filler options include Radiesse and Sculptra injections, which can also restore facial volume and smoothness to minimize nasolabial folds.
- Neuromodulators: Neuromodulators, such as Botox or Dysport, are injectable treatments that temporarily relax the muscles responsible for causing crow’s feet. By inhibiting muscle movement, neuromodulators can soften existing wrinkles and prevent new ones from forming, resulting in smoother, more youthful-looking skin around the eyes.
- Laser Resurfacing: Laser resurfacing treatments, such as fractional CO2 laser or erbium laser, can help improve the appearance of both smile lines and crow’s feet by stimulating collagen production and promoting skin renewal. These non-invasive procedures target the deeper layers of the skin to smooth wrinkles, tighten lax skin and improve overall skin texture and tone.
- Chemical Peels: Chemical peels are another option for addressing dynamic lines and rejuvenating the skin’s appearance. By applying a chemical solution to the skin, chemical peels exfoliate the outermost layer of damaged skin cells, revealing smoother, more youthful-looking skin underneath. Depending on the depth of the peel, chemical peels can improve the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles and sun damage.
Crow’s Feet Treatment
non surgical rejuvenation
Here’s how Dr. Sedgh worked his magic for some non surgical rejuvenation on my face.
Dr sedgh did a combination of toxins: botox and daxify to treat the crows feet, give a little brow lift and soften the forehead lines, but still leaving enough movement.
Then using some filler around the cheekbones and temple he was able to add volume, while still maintaining the nature contours. Plus a touch in my lips.
For dr sedgh the whole goal is keeping everything looking as natural as possible...Just a bit better.
