A nose job has no single all-inclusive price. Your total depends on the operation, surgeon, anesthesia, surgical facility and follow-up arrangements. Ask for a written, itemized estimate before comparing offers. A surgeon’s fee or national average is not the same as your final bill.
This guide explains how to read a rhinoplasty quote. For consultation planning at Dr. Jacob Sedgh’s West Hollywood practice, serving Los Angeles and Hollywood, see our Los Angeles rhinoplasty cost guide.
What does a rhinoplasty quote include?
Start by asking whether the quoted amount covers the entire planned operation. Then confirm each component in writing.
| Cost component | Question to ask |
|---|---|
| Surgeon’s fee | Which procedure and graft-related work does this fee cover? |
| Anesthesia | Is the anesthesia fee included, and who will provide it? |
| Surgical facility | Is the facility charge included in the total? |
| Tests and medication | Which expenses are billed separately? |
| Follow-up | Which visits and postoperative care are included? |
| Changes to the plan | What happens to the estimate if the surgical plan changes? |
Keep the quote and the office’s written policies together. If a line is unclear, ask the consultation team to explain it before you commit.
Why national averages can be misleading
The American Society of Plastic Surgeons’ cost page explains that its average rhinoplasty fee excludes anesthesia, operating-room facilities and related expenses. It also identifies experience, procedure type and location as factors affecting the surgeon’s fee.
Use an average as background information. It cannot tell you what your operation will cost or whether a quoted plan is suitable. Check what a published figure includes, when it was collected and whether it describes primary or revision surgery.
Primary and revision surgery require different estimates
A first rhinoplasty and a revision rhinoplasty may involve different work. Previous surgery can change the available cartilage, tissue and structural support. Your surgeon needs to assess those factors before estimating the operation.
Bring prior operative reports if you have them. Ask whether grafting is proposed, why it is needed and how it affects the plan and fees. A fixed percentage increase or an online revision average cannot replace this assessment.
What if you also have breathing concerns?
Tell the surgeon about obstruction, past injuries and earlier nasal operations. An examination is needed to identify the cause. Functional rhinoplasty and cosmetic changes may require separate discussion and billing.
Insurance may cover some medically necessary treatment, depending on the diagnosis, policy and authorization. Coverage is not automatic. Ask the office and insurer which parts of the planned care are eligible, what documentation is required and what you would pay yourself.
Compare the plan as well as the price
A higher fee does not guarantee a better result. A lower fee does not explain what is included. Compare the proposed treatment, surgeon’s qualifications, facility, anesthesia arrangements and follow-up support.
- Verify the surgeon’s certifications and relevant training.
- Ask how the plan addresses your appearance and breathing goals.
- Review patient cases with concerns similar to yours.
- Discuss risks, recovery and the possibility of further treatment.
- Read cancellation, rescheduling and revision-fee policies.

Financing questions to ask
Sedgh Plastic Surgery lists CareCredit, PatientFi and Cherry financing options. Ask the team about the current options for your treatment. Approval and terms depend on the provider.
Before choosing a payment plan, compare the total amount repaid, interest, fees, promotional conditions and payment schedule. A monthly payment should be considered alongside the full cost.
Common questions about nose job prices
Can I get an accurate price without an examination?
The office may explain its process or give preliminary guidance. An individual treatment plan is needed for a meaningful surgical estimate. Ask what information is required and whether the estimate can change.
Are follow-up visits always included?
Policies differ. Confirm which visits are covered, for how long and which additional services may have separate fees.
Does a technique name explain the price?
No. Ask what the technique would change in your operation and why it is proposed. A device or marketing label alone does not establish value or suitability.
