Revision rhinoplasty cost in Los Angeles depends on the individual surgical plan and what the estimate includes. A citywide average cannot tell you the total fee for your case. At Dr. Jacob Sedgh’s West Hollywood practice, serving Los Angeles and Hollywood, ask for a written estimate after your concerns and treatment options have been assessed.
If previous nose surgery has left appearance or breathing concerns, start with the revision rhinoplasty treatment guide. This cost guide helps you compare estimates and prepare practical questions; it is not a published price list or a guarantee of what your treatment will cost.
What should a revision rhinoplasty estimate include?
Compare the same fee components in each quote. Ask which items are included, billed separately or dependent on the final plan. A low headline figure may not represent the total expense.
| Fee component | Question to ask |
|---|---|
| Surgeon’s fee | Which procedures and planned work does this fee cover? |
| Anesthesia | Is anesthesia included, and can the fee change with the planned operating time? |
| Surgical facility | Are operating-room charges included or quoted separately? |
| Grafting or additional work | If grafting is proposed, how is that work reflected in the estimate? |
| Assessment and preparation | Are consultation charges, tests or medical clearance separate? |
| Follow-up care | Which appointments are included, for how long, and what care could incur another fee? |
The ASPS rhinoplasty cost overview distinguishes a surgeon’s fee from other expenses. It is general background, not a revision quote from this practice.
Why can revision and primary rhinoplasty quotes differ?
A revision estimate should reflect the work proposed for an already-operated nose. Ask how prior procedures, remaining support, breathing concerns and any proposed grafting affect the plan. A limited correction and a broader reconstruction should not be compared as if they were the same treatment.
Bring previous operative records if available. Explain what changed after each surgery and what concerns remain. Dr. Sedgh can discuss the options, their limits and why the proposed work is appropriate. The goal is an understandable plan rather than a price selected before an examination.
Compare the plan as well as the total price
- Match the scope: compare the same appearance and functional goals.
- Clarify exclusions: request the costs outside the quoted total.
- Check timing: ask how long the estimate is valid and what could change it.
- Understand follow-up: ask about routine care and how unexpected concerns would be handled.
- Read the payment terms: ask about deposits, scheduling and cancellation arrangements before committing.
What else should you budget for?
Consider expenses outside the surgical quote, such as prescribed medication, time away from work, help at home, travel or accommodation. Ask the team which costs apply to your visit and recovery. Patients travelling to West Hollywood should confirm follow-up arrangements before booking travel.
Credentials and relevant revision cases
Dr. Jacob Sedgh is double board-certified in facial plastic and reconstructive surgery and otolaryngology–head and neck surgery. His training includes residency at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center and a facial plastic and reconstructive surgery fellowship at Penn State.
Review revision before-and-after cases and their follow-up intervals. Ask which cases have concerns relevant to yours. Credentials and patient stories help inform a conversation; they do not establish a personal success rate or guarantee an outcome.

Revision Rhinoplasty Result
When multiple surgeries still leave you struggling, a true revision requires both precision and experience.
This patient came to us after two unsuccessful rhinoplasties by different surgeons, still facing breathing issues, a septal perforation, and visible nasal asymmetries.
Septal perforations are among the most difficult complications to correct, especially when combined with tip irregularities and nostril imbalance.
Using rib grafting during her revision rhinoplasty, we successfully repaired the perforation, improved tip projection, corrected asymmetry, and reduced nostril show.
Now, one year post-op, she’s breathing freely, her scars are virtually invisible, and her facial features look more refined and harmonious than ever.
Financing and insurance questions
Ask the practice which financing providers are currently available, and request the provider’s terms before applying. The site lists Cherry, CareCredit and PatientFi. Availability, approval, interest and repayment arrangements must be confirmed for your application. Do not assume that a monthly-payment figure is the total cost of borrowing.
If your plan includes treatment for breathing concerns, ask your insurer about the specific proposed procedures, documentation, authorization requirements and out-of-pocket costs. A functional concern does not itself confirm coverage. Obtain the insurer’s response before relying on insurance when comparing estimates.
Prepare for a revision consultation
- Describe the appearance changes you want and the features you want to preserve.
- Bring a timeline of earlier operations and any available records.
- Explain breathing symptoms and when they started.
- Ask what surgery could reasonably change and which concerns may remain.
- Request an itemized estimate and a recovery plan relevant to your work and travel.
For breathing concerns, review functional rhinoplasty. For treatment comparisons, read the Los Angeles rhinoplasty cost guide. Keep the consultation focused on your anatomy and goals rather than choosing a technique from its marketing label.
A patient’s revision experience
This is an individual patient account. Experiences and outcomes vary, and the care described is not a general recovery instruction.
“Honestly, if you need a revision, Dr. Sedgh is a no-brainer!
The office staff is incredible, and he is extremely helpful, knowledgeable and accommodating.
Like many others on here, my nose was butchered. As a teenager, I had my septum “repaired,” [and] well, it left me with breathing trouble and a detached septum, with one side of my nose collapsed.
The photos provided are before and six months after surgery. As you can see, the swelling on the tip has a bit more to go.
To be honest, the rib harvest for me was the most painful for the few days following the surgery, but I heard not many had as much pain as I did.
The nose was painful, along with trying to cough up blood when I shouldn’t cough. If you do all that they recommend and prepare for the surgery as they outline, you will get through it.
Thankfully, because he is probably one of the best surgical artists out there, the entire experience was completely worth it!
Don’t skip your follow-ups; he will give you injections to help the scar tissue and make sure all your issues are addressed.
The result is a more natural-looking nose that doesn’t look like a putty sculpture, and it functions as it should.”

Revision rhinoplasty cost: frequently asked questions
How much does revision rhinoplasty cost in Los Angeles?
An individual written estimate is needed to answer that for your case. Ask for the total proposed surgical expense and the items billed separately. This page does not publish a verified starting price or average fee for Dr. Sedgh’s practice.
Is revision surgery always more expensive?
Compare the actual proposed work and fee components. Avoid applying a fixed price premium to every case. A consultation should explain why the estimate differs from a primary procedure or another revision quote.
Does insurance cover revision rhinoplasty?
Ask your insurer about your specific plan. Confirm any covered procedures, authorization requirements and remaining costs. Do not treat a breathing concern or a surgeon’s recommendation as a coverage guarantee.
Can I compare results with 3D imaging before deciding?
Ask how imaging can support the consultation. A simulation is a planning aid rather than a guarantee of healing or the final result. Read how in-person assessment and 3D imaging work together.
When should I consider another operation?
Discuss your current healing, health, prior procedures and remaining concerns with the surgeon. The decision should include alternatives and limits, not simply dissatisfaction or a generic waiting period.
How should I plan recovery and follow-up?
Request instructions for your plan, including work, travel, exercise, help at home and scheduled reviews. Ask which symptoms require contact with the treating team. Follow the treating surgeon’s guidance rather than the experience of another patient.
